  St Patrick's is a centre for Mission.
From this place, we proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a variety of ways.

  Rest for your Soul
Each year, as part of the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival, St Patrick's community presents 'Rest for your Soul' From the official Fringe Festival Programme:

"Rest for your Soul is an hour of peaceful contemplation
and worship in quiet and beautiful surroundings;
incorporating music, chant, silence and guided meditation.
Come and be refreshed in body, mind and spirit. Open to all"

Rest for your Soul reaches beyond church-going Catholics and other Christians to the person in the street, offering a haven of reflective space in the noisy chaos of Edinburgh at Festival time.

From Disciples to Apostles

An introduction to lay ministry, with the emphasis on transforming disciples (passive listeners, followers) into Apostles (dynamic messengers, sent out to proclaim).

Nine Days' Prayer
This is a traditional devotion with a modern slant. The Nine Days' Prayer (or Solemn Novena) is celebrated throughout the world, in honour of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. In St Patrick's, the traditional devotion is brought up-to-date, with involvement of parishioners and St Pat's distinctive old-yet-new style of meditative worship.

Welcome Back
A project shared with other Edinburgh parishes, making it easy for those who have left the Church, or drifted from the Church, to come back; and equally importantly, to enable the Church to listen to the stories of those who left, and be challenged by these stories to be more open and welcoming. Elements of Welcome Back, originally staged in Autumn/Winter 2002, have now been incorporated into regular parish life in St Patrick's.
